UP News: Proposals for 9 expressways approved in Uttar Pradesh, covering an area of ​​2063 km

Work is progressing rapidly to make Uttar Pradesh an expressway state. The Yogi Adityanath government is continuously working on several projects to improve connectivity within the state. 

It should be noted that the construction of six expressways has been completed so far in Uttar Pradesh. Vehicles are now traveling at high speeds on these expressways. Furthermore, the construction process for six more expressways has already begun.

The Yogi government is now preparing to set a new record in expressway construction. The government has approved the expressway proposal. The process of constructing new expressways in UP will begin soon, increasing the number from 12 to 21. Currently, six expressways operate in the state.

Officials believe that 

Work on the project has already begun by the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Expressway Department Authority. Officials with UPIEDA believe that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is committed to connecting every district within the project to the rest of the country. Uttar Pradesh will receive high-speed connectivity to any part of the country. 

In this regard, he has rapidly initiated the construction of expressways (Expressway Development in UP). In this regard, preparations are underway to construct nine new expressways.

This expressway is currently operational

1. Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, length 24.53 km.
2. Yamuna Expressway, length is 165 km.
3. Agra-Lucknow Expressway, length is 302 km.
4. Purvanchal Expressway, length is 341 km.
5. Bundelkhand Expressway, length is 296 km.
6. Meerut - Delhi Expressway, length is 96 km.
7. The total length of all these expressways operating in UP is 1224.53 km.

The expressway will be ready at this cost 

More than 20,000 crore rupees are being spent on new expressway projects in the state. The newly proposed expressways include the Rewa Link Expressway, Meerut-Haridwar Expressway (Expressway in UP), and Lucknow Link Expressway, as well as the Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway and Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway.

Expressways being built in the state 

1. Gorakhpur Link Expressway, length 91 km
2. Ganga Expressway, length is 594 kilometers.
3. Chitrakoot Link Expressway, length is 15.20 kilometres.
4. The Delhi-Saharanpur Expressway is 210 kilometres long.
5. Ballia Link Expressway, length is 114 kilometres.
6. Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway is 63 kilometers long.
7. Talking about the total length, it is 1087.20 kilometers.

They got the responsibility 

Six expressways are currently operational in the state. Of these, the Delhi-Meerut Expressway is being constructed by NHAI. Of the six expressways currently under construction, three are being developed by UPDA and three by NHAI. Of the nine proposed expressways, seven are being constructed by UPDA.

Additionally, two expressways are being constructed by NHAI (NHAI Latest Update). These include the Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway and the Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway. Both expressways will prove to be transformative for Uttar Pradesh.

Proposed Expressway in UP 

1. Work is underway on the 49.96 km long Lucknow Link Expressway. 
2. Work is underway on the 90.84 km long Farrukhabad-Link Expressway. 
3. Work is underway on the 74.30 km long Jewar Link Expressway. 
4. Work is underway on the 118.90 km long Jhansi Link Expressway.
5. Work is underway on the 320-km long Vindhya Expressway.
6. Work is underway on the 120-km long Meerut-Haridwar Link Expressway.
7. Work is underway on the 70-km long Chitrakoot to Rewa Link Expressway.
8. Work is underway on the 519-km-long Gorakhpur-Siliguri Expressway.
9. Work is underway on the 700-km-long Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway.
10. The total length of all these expressways is going to be 2063 kilometers.

Expressway will be built in this area 

The Uttar Pradesh government has prepared a proposal to build 2,063 kilometers of expressways. Once these nine expressways are completed, the state will have a total of 4,374 kilometers of expressways. This will be the most in any state in the country. Other states take more than five years to reach this level.
