In Uttar Pradesh, the salaries of employees will increase even before the new Pay Commission

News - (UP News) Millions of UP employees across the country are awaiting the 8th Pay Commission, although its implementation is still a long way off. 

The 8th Pay Commission hasn't even been formed yet. Now, the good news for UP employees is that their salaries are set to increase even before the new Pay Commission is implemented. Let's find out through this news what the salary of UP employees will be.

When will the Eighth Pay Commission be implemented?

It is being said that the wait for the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission may be a little longer for the employees and it may be announced in the year 2028. However, it is expected that the arrears may be added and given from January 2026. 

The good news for the employees currently getting salary under the 7th Pay Commission is that their DA i.e. dearness allowance has been increased by 3 percent. 

After the approval in the cabinet meeting two days ago, it has been informed that instead of 55 percent, 58 percent DA will now be given. 

This dearness allowance will be added and given from July itself. The same formula can be applied for DR i.e. dearness relief for pensioners also.

Will get 3 months arrears

With the increase in DA, the salaries of central government employees may increase. Three months' arrears have also been added to the October salary. 

This three-month arrears, meaning arrears for the months of July, August, and September, will be paid. It is believed that the October salary could be paid between October 31st and sometime in November. However, most employees' salaries are usually paid by the end of the month.

How much will the salaries of employees increase?

Due to the 3 percent increase in the Dearness Allowance for UP employees, 3 percent more of the basic salary will come in their account. 

Talking about the minimum wage of employees, the minimum salary of Rs 18,000 will get around Rs 540 more and the total salary of those employees will come around Rs 28,440. 

On the other hand, an employee with a basic salary of Rs 56,100 was getting Rs 30,855 as DA earlier and will now get Rs 32,538, which means he will get an additional benefit of Rs 1,683.

The pension of retired employees will increase by this much

Along with the salaries of UP employees, the pensions of retired employees will also be increased starting this month. 

Starting this month, pensioners in the minimum pension category of Rs 9,000 will receive an additional Rs 270 in their accounts. This increase will bring their total pension to Rs 14,220.

Retired employees from different pay matrices will receive a 3 percent increase in their basic pension. 

An employee with a basic salary of ₹56,100 in the Level 10 Pay Matrix was receiving ₹30,855 in DA before this increase, and will now receive ₹32,538, a benefit of ₹1,683.
