Sirsa News: Baruwali canal in Sirsa district has suffered an 80-foot erosion, destroying 200 acres of crops
Sirsa News: Farmers in the Nathusari Chaupata area of Sirsa district suffered significant losses due to the breach of the Baruwali Canal near Makhosrani village. The canal breach flooded surrounding fields, submerging approximately 200 acres of crops.

Officials arrived at the scene as soon as they received information about the canal breach. To control the situation, the canal had to be closed at the Nehrana head.
About three days ago, the Sheranwali Canal also broke near Umedpura and Mehna Kheda villages, flooding 100 acres of crops in the surrounding area.
A crack began to appear in the fields of Banshilal Syooran, a resident of Makhosrani village in the Chopta area, around 9:00 am.
Within minutes, the crack grew to 80 feet long, causing the water to flow rapidly through the fields. Nearby rice, cotton, and peanut crops began to flood.
Farmers were the first to notice the canal breach, and they immediately informed irrigation department officials.
The officials then closed the canal at the Nehrana head. Work has now begun to repair the canal with the help of JCBs and laborers.
