UP News: The Yamuna Authority has a grand vision of making the area a completely "wireless city." Under this plan, all high-tension power lines, telecommunications, and internet cables will be placed in underground ducts. This will not only preserve the city's beauty but also ensure uninterrupted and secure power supply.

Mess of electric wire

Uttar Pradesh News: The Yamuna Authority (YEIDA) plans to make the area a completely wireless city. High-tension power lines, telecommunications, and internet cables will be placed in underground ducts. This will ensure uninterrupted city services and maintain the city's aesthetic appeal.

A new trunk exchange will be built.

According to Yamuna Authority officials, the district's largest exchange is located in Noida Sector 62, which will initially serve parts of YEIDA Phase 1.

A new trunk exchange will be built for the remaining areas, capable of meeting all telecom needs in the future. This trunk exchange will be large enough to cover the entire population of the upcoming Phase 1 areas in Jewar and Bulandshahr. The power and telecommunications departments aim to make the entire area a wireless city.

Big preparations underway to make the city wireless and smart city

Under the Yamuna Authority's Master Plan 2041, the city is poised to become a wireless and smart city. To achieve this, all high-tension power lines and TV cables will be laid in underground ducts, eliminating the tangle of wires on poles and maintaining visual aesthetics.

Additionally, a WiFi system is planned for internet and telecom connectivity. Optical fiber cables will be laid at designated locations along roads, allowing data, telephone, and TV traffic to reach consumers directly.

This network will ensure modern, secure, and uninterrupted service, keeping in mind the communication needs of the current and future population.

The beauty and architecture of the city will not be affected

The Yamuna Authority has begun identifying specific locations for the installation of mobile towers. Due to height restrictions within a 20-kilometer radius of Noida International Airport, towers cannot be installed there.

Therefore, the authority has identified safe and suitable locations in the city where new mobile towers will be installed.

The new towers will be planned to ensure strong network signals, easy maintenance, and minimal impact on the city's aesthetics and architecture.

Power supply will remain safe and uninterrupted

Officials say this new underground system will also ensure the safety of linemen. Accidents often occur due to electrocution while climbing poles to connect lines.

Noida has witnessed several such incidents in the past. The underground network will eliminate these risks and also address the problem of scattered wires throughout the city.

Furthermore, power supply will remain uninterrupted even during storms or heavy rain, ensuring stable and safe power supply for the citizens of Noida and Greater Noida.
