So much burden will come on the government 

The Uttar Pradesh government is beginning preparations to develop new townships in four cities, including Lucknow. The government will allocate ₹1,832.51 crore for the development of these townships. The Chief Minister Urban Extension (CMUL) installment for the new city will be released soon. 

Finance Minister gave information 

The cabinet meeting held on Friday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved the proposal related to the Housing and Urban Planning Department. Giving information, the Finance Minister said that under the Chief Minister's Urban Expansion New City Incentive Scheme, a provision of Rs 3000 crore will be made in the current financial year's budget. 

Cabinet gave approval

The Cabinet has approved the release of ₹1,832.5 crore (approximately $1.5 billion). Approval has also been given for the first installment of ₹970 crore (approximately $1.7 billion). 

Of this, ₹750 crore will be given to Lucknow, while ₹100 crore each will be given to the Rampur Development Authority in Ayodhya. The Baghpat-Khekra-Baraut Development Authority will also receive ₹20 crore (approximately $1.5 billion) as seed capital.

The amount will be given for this period 

In this context, along with the planned and systematic development of urban areas, housing facilities will also be available to the urban population. 

The Yogi government's Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme (New City in UP) will usher in a new initiative in the state. Under the scheme, the state government plans to provide up to 50 percent of the land acquisition cost to authorities as seed capital for a maximum period of 20 years.
