Haryana rain alert: Rain and hailstorm warning in these 3 districts
Haryana Rain Alert: Rainfall on Monday completely altered the weather in Haryana. Several areas of the state experienced rainfall on Monday, causing temperatures to drop and disrupting normal life. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for hailstorms and heavy rain in some districts for Tuesday.

Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University in Hisar, explained that this change in Haryana is due to a western disturbance coming from Sirsa and a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation is active over Rajasthan, bringing moisture-laden winds into the state.
There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in these districts today.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of hailstorm along with rain in the following districts of Haryana on Tuesday.
Panchkula
Ambala
Yamunanagar
Yellow alert has been issued regarding hailstorm in these three districts .
Districts with Yellow Alert:
Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Sonipat, Panipat, Jind, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Mewat, Palwal, Faridabad, Rohtak
Districts with heavy rainfall:
Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Sirsa
The impact of hailstorms on farmland
Light hail was recorded in Jamal village in Sirsa district, damaging cotton crops. Strong winds and fallen trees were also reported in other districts, though there were no reports of casualties.
Monsoon performance
This year, from June 1 to September 30, Haryana recorded above-average rainfall . Yamunanagar district recorded the highest rainfall of 1116.9 mm. The Meteorological Department predicts that temperatures will begin to drop from October 8, with the effects of cold weather gradually becoming visible.
